Our Messy Activites
'A day in our routine at 'little stars'
9:00 - 9:30
Children start to arrive.
9:30-10:00
Snack table prepared for the children to enjoy some fresh fruit, cheese, cucumber, breadsticks or crackers, with a choice of milk or water.
Older children are able to self serve and pour thier own drinks.
10:00-11:25
Children enjoy an adult led activity/Messy play followed by outdoor activities in the garden (Weather dependent)
Nappy changes (3 hourly)
11:25- 11:45 - Tidy up tme and Circle time. We seperate the under 2's so all ages get to enjoy this time of the day.
5 minute warning is called using a sound clacker, which is then followed by a big 5 minute sand timer to allow the children to visually see the remaining time until the next activity.
When the clacker is sounded again (After the sand timer has run out), Alexa plays the 'tidy up time' song and the children are prompted to help tidy up with the adults support.
11:45-12:15
Lunchtime - we allow the children to explore oral heallh after lunch with brushing thier teeth.
12:15-13:30
Children's nap time - older ones have time on ipad/calm activites or spend time in the garden.
13:30-14:00
Free play
14:00-14:45

Calm down time with educational story time or song time for 3pm children to go home.
